Peer Review Policy

The paper will be send by the author/first - author only online to the JLAS e-mail address jlas@upit.ro.

The internal reviewing process

The JLAS editorial board will verify if the instructions for authors have been followed and if all mandatory parts of the paper are present: abstract, keywords, introduction, conclusion, bibliography. This process takes one week. The failure to comply with the instructions generates the papers` return to the authors and not sending the revised paper back leads to not publishing the papers, without further motivation;

The external reviewing process  

The JLAS editorial board will send all submitted papers to be peer reviewed by 2 scientific reviewers chosen by their expertise from the editorial board of the journal;

The peer review process is confidential and the scientific reviewers will not know the identity of the author/ authors;

The peer reviewing process will be based on the review sheet, in terms of the articles` scientific contribution to enrich the existing doctrine and takes normally three weeks. The author will be  notified of one of the four forms of decision that was made by the JLAS editorial board regarding  the submitted manuscript : (1) Rejection ab initio by the editing committee, without the manuscript being sent to the scientific reviewers (in case of serious writing / translation mistakes, the theme of the article is out of the JLAS`s field, inadequate scientific level, the theme of the paper is not current, the paper does not contain a new contribution to the existing doctrine , the content of the work is not up to date with the laws in force at submission date) (2) the recommendation of the manuscript with major changes, requesting the author’s compliance with the observations, (3) accept the manuscript with minor changes, their application in the paper represent the author's choice, (4) accept the manuscript without any observation.

An author can publish a single article per number.

The author/authors assume full legal responsibility in case of plagiarism.
